About ReEntry Compass

ReEntry Compass is a workforce and reentry outcomes platform designed to help organizations track participant progress, document services, measure outcomes, and simplify reporting.

Founder Story

ReEntry Compass was founded by a returning citizen who experienced the challenges of reentry firsthand.

After spending more than a decade incarcerated, I returned home and quickly realized that many of the barriers facing returning citizens are not caused by a lack of effort. Often, they are the result of disconnected systems, limited resources, and organizations being asked to do more with less.

During my own reentry journey, I saw dedicated professionals working hard to help people rebuild their lives while also being expected to track services, document outcomes, satisfy grant requirements, and produce reports for stakeholders.

Many organizations are still relying on spreadsheets, paper files, emails, and disconnected systems to manage critical information.

Why ReEntry Compass Exists

ReEntry Compass was created to give organizations a centralized place to manage participant information, track employment-readiness activities, measure outcomes, and generate reports.

The goal is simple: help organizations spend less time chasing information and more time helping people succeed.

ReEntry Compass helps organizations answer questions such as: How many participants were served? How many resumes were created? How many secured interviews? How many obtained employment? Which services are producing results? What should be reported to funders this month?

New Jersey Based

ReEntry Compass is based in New Jersey and was created with an understanding of the challenges facing reentry organizations, workforce development programs, nonprofit service providers, and public agencies.

While development began in New Jersey, the long-term goal is to support organizations serving justice-involved individuals across the country.

Focused on Reentry

ReEntry Compass is being built specifically for reentry and workforce outcomes.

Rather than adapting a generic case-management platform, the objective is to develop tools that reflect the realities of reentry work, including participant tracking, referrals, employment readiness, documentation, reporting, and outcome measurement.

ReEntry Compass complements other reentry-focused tools such as ReEntry Job Translator, which helps translate prison work experience into employer-ready resume language.

Pilot Program Approach

ReEntry Compass is currently seeking pilot partners interested in helping shape the platform.

Pilot organizations provide feedback on workflows, reporting needs, usability, and real-world implementation challenges.

The objective is to build software that reflects how organizations actually operate rather than forcing organizations to adapt their processes to a generic platform.
